Wicked Good Gift Box

Having grown up in a very small town in rural Maine with a single paved road running through it used mostly by logging companies (think Stephen King’s Pet Cemetery), all I ever wanted to do was leave the State when I turned 18, which is exactly what I did. I moved to Central Florida, where I lived for a year, maybe 11 months, but who’s counting.

What I quickly realized was how much I missed the great State of Maine. I missed our four beautiful seasons, even the frigid winters (having learned the appreciation of a glowing fireplace). I also missed the amazing spaces, endless land and down-to-earth people. I loved that I could travel 4 hours in any direction and be in the beautiful woods, on a pristine lake, on top of a mountain, or on a breezy ocean beach.

After returning home, I never moved away from our beautiful Vacationland again. However, I’ve certainly had the pleasure of visiting many other great states across the country, each with its own wonderful uniqueness.

Since you found Wicked Good Gift Box, I hope you share a mutual love for the many amazing aspects of Maine, be it camping, skiing, fishing, kayaking, sailing, surfing, hiking, boating, roasting marshmallows by the fire, or just lying under the sun or stars on a beach or in the deep woods.
